Print That's right, Maxis passed the ball to Tilted Mill. The creators of Children of the Nile and Caesar series will start developing the next SimCity episode.
Here is what Chris Beatrice posted on their forum :
However,
I do not want to mislead anyone: This SC is not a realistic urban simulation,
which I understand, to many, represents the heart of what SC is. No one is blind
to that. And if you're just completely turned off, even angered by the mere
notion of any game called "SimCity" that is not a detailed, realistic urban
simulator, I absolutely understand that viewpoint, and absolutely respect it.
Passionate fans like you are the lifeblood of the gaming industry, and that is
one reason why TMill provides what I think is a great outlet for this type of
discussion and even complaint. But please keep in mind the irony in that - we
are just a lowly developer after all. [smiley].
I do want to say, though (with no insult intended to die hard SC fans) that we
are absolutely thrilled to be a part of this venerable series, are extremely
proud of what we have put together, and make no apologies about what we have
managed to create. And while our past experiences (including contributions from
many of you) certainly inform all our ongoing efforts, this SC is its own unique
creation.
Lastly, for CotN and Caesar fans, rest assured that we have NOT abandoned either
the CotN series nor the Caesar series.

| Aces of the Galaxy September 5, 2008 In this age of Pixel Shaders, MMOs and DirectX 10, "Aces of the Galaxy" comes as a blast from the past, to remind us that arcade games are still out there, alive and kicking. Do you have what it takes to fly your spaceship through the numerous meteor belts while destroying every single enemy ship on screen?

| Gunbound World Champion August 20, 2008 Gunbound is yet
another example that free games aren`t as bad as people tend to believe. In
fact, it`s probably better than most games that are out on the market now, and
I strongly recommend giving it a try, especially if you liked the "Worms" series
games. So, if you`re up for a Worms MMO, read on to find out what it takes to
go from a duckling, to a fully fledged battle axe.

| GC - Call of Duty: World at War September 2, 2008 Two years of development, two Hollywood actors cast for voice acting (Kiefer Sutherland and Gary Oldman), and a full-sized replica of PBY Catalina constructed for motion capture, are just a few key elements integrated in the latest installment of Call of Duty series.

| Mythos Online August 11, 2008 After the fiasco that was (or is) Hellgate London, I was not
exactly eager to try another RPG from Flagship Studios, but since I had nothing
else to do, I decided to give it a try. The closed beta status of the game
meant it wasn`t exactly easy to get an account to play, but I managed to do so,
just in time... Most games go from a closed beta status to an open beta status and
then alpha and so on, but Mythos unfortunately is an exception. Why? Read on to
find out.

the most dynamic and balanced, Starcraft is already a famous brand that is
known and appreciated worldwide. It's been quite a while since Blizzard

ever since for the next addition to the franchise.
