Print ...it's my official first week score in the new Gladiator Arenas. It took us a while to get the hang of it, so we lost somewhere around 15 times at the beginning, but slowly we're beginning to have more and more even fights. 236... is the number of how many Arena Points we got this week. What do you mean who's we? Me - Mydarkangel - level 70 fire mage, and Lucianus - level 70 human paladin that changes specs every couple of days (who also happens to be my real life boss - shhhhh don't tell anyone!). I think the best fun we had was when Lucianus was full protection, and it took somewhere around 5 minutes to take him down. Lmao.
It takes you a while in order to get passed emotions and actually devise some strategies and tactics for the Arena, especially on 2vs2. WoW character balance was always contested, and the only thing I will tell you is that it is far from perfect.
The easiest match was against two warriors. It was the arena with a bridge. We waited at the start point, and they came furious on the bridge and for a second they stooped and looked down. While they were “analyzing” the situation, I took the moment's advantage to polymorph one. The other, who didn't saw cause he was in front, just charged away at me with an unimaginable blood thirst. Lucianus did Blessing of Protection on me and I quietly proceeded in killing Mr. Warrior. At about 25% HP left, he looked behind to see “whata heck was his mate doing”. He was surprised to say the least when he saw him a little turtle, still on that bridge. Fun times!
I think the hardest (though it happened just once) moment was when we met a couple of troll shadow priests. I was silenced and feared for the whole fight, while Lucianus only managed to survive sometime under one minute (that includes bubble).
Both of these aspects make me think again about that phrase I said above about balance. But let's not live in the past I've heard from someone it's not that good for the skin.
236 is a decent number of points anyway, for a first week, considering that items vary from 1100-3750. The catch is that I think you can actually do just 10 battles, and if you win them you have a really high score.
Besides the Arena, I managed to finally get revered with Cenarion Expedition and get my enchant, and to do the Caverns of Time quests and get attuned for Karazan. I still have to kill tow more bosses in Aunchindoun to get my epic ring, which is good really. Oh and if you say good mages aren't invited into parties, think again, I get requests every 30 minutes for almost every instance... Mage FTW!
Well, I'd love to stay and chat all day, but I have work to do! - till next time,
Bye!

I feel a little bad for criticizing so harsh an otherwise
good game. I just wanted to point out there are still a lot of aspects needed to be reviewed by the design team, and that Master of Orion 2 is still my number 1. You should by all means try it and see what's it all about if you
are a 4X strategy fan. Otherwise you will be missing out. I've had a lot of fun
with this game, and the numerous changes Stardock made over the original are
for the better. The differences between the 12 races are significant and
meaningful, and you will get a different experience for each new game.
