20 Mar 2007 - Good morning, it's a wonderful brand new day

Print I am angry at anything right now, including the twists and turns the plot for my beloved Roswell series have taken. Why do producers do that. I just wish that once they get the story to where they want, to just leave it there, and end the show. And when they really have to end it because of budget, they should end it properly!
But who accuse or even to approach the most controversial problem that humanity artificially created for itself? I'm talking about currency of course. Money. Everything is about money. That's why everything today (video games, TV shows, big screen movies) fail after a short while. Fewer and fewer people have anything to say and write scenario wise, and the new things are made quickly and hasty, just for immediate profit. It's a general trend, and no one seems to have the courage to step up and say “NO! I am gonna create this thing MY way, because I have a vision, a dream in life, and I am ready to follow it no matter what.”
Playing it safe get average results - usually. But to be the best, you have to take the risk. You have to have a vision, you must not be afraid to follow it... and ... and... baaaah, forget it. A colleague of mine is just watching chicks on Hi5 network, and I can't focus on anything anymore... Forget philosophy and higher brain functions... I'm sorry - let's talk a bit about WoW events this past week.
Like I said, you get some days you know you are gonna do great things right from the morning. And some days are just an accident ready to happen. Unfortunately, WoW was like that this week end and the past week. I still have to fight 7 more matches in the arena, as both me and my buddy were busy this week. We managed to play 3, but then he had to go at one point, and after I got a guest so i had to take care of that. I'm just hoping we can cover them today - last day before maintenance. Would be a shame not to.
I managed to grind enough primal manas to do my 15 arcane resist enchant on the cloak, thus achieving my goal of getting 100 arcane resistance. I figured it's ok for a mage. The stuff is needed for the fourth boss in Karazan.
We did get to the theater encounter this week as well, and we stumbled upon Romulo and Julliane this time. They seem doable, but we didn't manage to get them so far. Mostly because of bad luck. We waited for 2 hours to get a Warrior and a Priest online (all other classes played their part and we had enough of other classes). And then we took the first warrior that came on, a new comer. He was really ok, but unexperienced. And Finnbar, our “old man” tank is great in preparing for a fight and a great Warrior in general, but he doesn't have quick reflexes all the time. So we struggled for another 2 hours at those skeleton elites that share aggro, just before theater room.
We did get passed them after a long long time, when Seamaster (the other “main tank&rdquo
came online along with a dwarf priest (good friend of mine - Spawbad).
Although I told them on teamspeak not to click the NPC at the theater event, someone did, and the fight was started. We got our Warlock Serafina trapped behind a closed door, so he couldn't get into the fight (he was reading tactics). We were NOT prepared.
Skeleton mobs respawned by the time we got back and we took one hour to take them down again. I'd like to take this opportunity to tell you about the good times I had there using invisibility to get away, when no other class could. Mage>repair costs.
FINALLY! We got to the boss event again and... BOOM. Internet is gone. Apparently a scheduled maintenance. Oh well.
The next day Vista bugged on me, and my Internet didn't work on any 32 bit application. The 64 bit part was just fine. I did a system file check, and no problems were found. After searching for hours on the Internet, I found no solution. I did manage to use system restore eventually, and my internet was back to normal. That was last night.
Of course, it was late, and in order to celebrate the now working connection I had to... watch more Roswell episodes... END it well damn it! Don't skrew it up Ronald Moore (and whoever was writing on the show). I swear I'm gonna send some terrorists to someone if this show ends badly!
Until next time... Good night!

| Star Wars The Force Unleashed: Ultimate Sith Edition November 17, 2009 Some ports are good, some ports are bad, and some ports are never to be made. I decide to include the PC edition of 'The Force Unleashed' in the latest category simply because it inherits all the bad aspects of the platform edition of the game and it also brings new bugs and other technical problems which are hard to be ignored, even by the most casual gamer.

| League of Legends November 16, 2009 Every now and then somebody comes up with a brilliant idea that shakes the very foundations of the gaming industry, despite having a low budget or an undersized developing team. DotA was such a concept and the result is a game mode that rivals Warcraft 3 in terms of popularity, establishing itself as a landmark in the RTS genre.
Featuring the same solid gameplay without the limitations of the Warcraft engine, League of Legends is undeniably a huge leap forward and probably another massive success.
