It doesn't have to make sense. If it doesn't make sense, it doesn't mean it's not real, does it?

I've been really sick lately, and for some reason I always get angry on anything and everything fast when I'm not feeling that good. I think I am really angry on myself because I can't do anything… What good is training your brain for 20 years and trying to understand subtle things like the meaning of life and universe, when suddenly you are forced to go back to the basics and sit a whole week in bed, and forced to sleep or have your eyes closed anyway. I think that's what are even old people afraid of – not death or dying, but the suffering they have to go through.

Now don't take me as the a martyr, I am a bit sick, I'll live (or not Tongue out ), there are much much more worse chases. Just… feeling sick and helpless always makes me think about stuff… I mean what else can you do, right?

Do you think that wanting to play God has a price? What do I mean? Why do you play games on the PC where you have extra-ordinary powers and do extra-ordinary things? It's that will inside everyone to become better, to become more, to surpass every limit. No, I don't believe God is "punishing" us in some way by aspiring to more. It's a human perk that was given in the "building" process. So maybe I am saying that we are punishing ourselves for all the bad things we do. Think globally: wars, disease, hunger – do you think it's a punishment from God, or that we do it to ourselves?
So why do we try to apply the current human society model on a video game and get rid of some problems? Is it because of this continued search of whom we are, and where are we going to? Maybe it's not that important. We spend the whole life trying to find out without getting to any solution. Maybe what's important to look out for each other.

So I'm applying now all these thoughts to this thing called "World of Warcraft". I had to catch up with you right? I'm gonna tell you briefly everything and you'll end up Surprised , but I won't bother explaining, because… well I tried above, in a more general direction.

Mister guild master boss decided we can't just kick the surplus players that are just slaking in the guild, and we are wasting too much time on this Karazan thing, which is a mean mean instance. The 10 man idea is great, but the way it's done it imposes certain classes for certain bosses/zones. So actually you need about 30. And then there's the skill factor. In 40 man raids you could compensate for 5 bad player… even 15. You need 10 good people from the exact right classes (that vary each boss). Now that is hard.
So in an attempt to "clean up" the guild, he decided to create another and only invite some of the "good" people. I am very against this move, because we lost some really nice friends, that admittedly weren't the best players but were good folks at heart. Isn't everything all about friends? Some people fail to see that… Why do you think hardcore guilds fail where friendly casual guilds remain and eventually catch up? The "need of epics" that comes and goes in every player once in a while makes some gather and do everything "hardcore" (read 24/7). But it all soon breaks apart – a month, two, and they split up and argue, because it's too hardcore or not hardcore enough for some.

Besides, the "split" thing didn't do much, because as the time went by 90% of the old members were back. Current members got their friends in and so on…
We did lost my favorite main tank, "old man" Finnbar, that decided it was a principle thing, and did not agree at all with this decision. We're still good friends and we do a lot of stuff together, but I miss him in the guild…

We also lost a good rogue that I miss, that went to another guild while this was happening…
And even with all the sacrifices, it's still hard to mobilize people for Karazan. Oh and let's not forget the items, that are so so bad. They got some attention from this latest patch, but it's still nasty stuff. I really really hope this game doesn't end up like Lineage or Everquest, with just the core base players left, and so "hostile" and "cold" to newcomers. I am actually pretty curious about the future of Warcraft in the next couple of years.

StarCraft 2 and BlizzCon were announced lately. It seems they didn't want to make groundbreaking changes to the classic hit RTS, and instead went on the fast and easy to build formula – 3Dengine and some added units. Can't say I blame them, and I won't say it's a bad move. Time will tell…
I was so curious about BlizzCon and all these "gaming parties". Maybe with your help Games32 will be a hit and I will convince my boss to get us all tickets next year *hint hint*.
Mini quiz: if you know or find out where these lines are from, I will proclaim you king (queen) of the world Wink

"I did not have sex with Adam"
"Are you sure?!"
"I was only there to find out what Adam need from me."
"And it wasn't sex?!"
"No"
"Adam is such a nice boy!
"

Until next time, ciao! Forums are the way to make you heard btw, express yourself!
And by the way 2 – the meaning of life is 42, of course!

And unfortunately, I find myself amongst them.  [...]
