Print Every character has a unique story and specialty and all of them will be present in the game after you choose which one to be your companion. The ones on your side will be called Buddies and will help you on your final quest, or at least until a point (no further explanation or I will spoil your pleasure). I had two buddies on my side, one that brought me additional informations for every major mission, and another one that was helping me while I was down during a mission. The idea with this 'rescue boy' is quite interesting. If you can free a nearby safehouse, he will be able to rescue you from the fire of the enemy. Otherwise the quicksave button is your only chance to retry the mission (the quickload and quicsave options are available only in the PC version of the game). In many co-op missions, your Buddy can hurt as well, and you decide if you should help him or not. In case you don't have first aid packages, you have to euthanize him.
The story based missions are as linear as possible: go from point A to point B and kill the enemy, or destroy the convoy, locations, etc, but the way you decide to complete them is as free as possible. Working for both factions will increase the difficulty of every new mission taken outside the city limits, as every faction owns different tactical locations and villages. Most of these small security posts are scattered on the main roads. So either you try to destroy them, or choose to cross them in stealthy manner. Sometimes running is not enough, so you have to fight and gain control of some of these posts which will give access to ammunition, or health packs. If you decide for a while to do something else, besides the main missions, then you can complete assassination missions taken from a private phone line near any antenna scattered throughout the map. Also you can take control of safe-houses which can provide you with weapons, health and saving points. These safe-houses will become your home each one giving you the ability to sleep and to change day/night cycle in every way you want. Malaria will force you from time to time to complete secondary missions in order to acquire the right medication in exchange of false documentation for several members of the Underground faction (known also as the civilians).
Weapons
A large arsenal stands at your disposal, every weapon being available at the weapons stores, or at the enemy's posts. You can carry four weapons classified in melee, primary, secondary and special weapons. For every category you are able to choose a single model: assault rifle, sniper rifle, light machine guns, RPG's, etc. All the models are realistic recreated featuring recoil effect and suffering damage after a long use. The player will observe the degradation of the weapon by its rusty color and by several blocking times. An over-use of every weapon will cause it to explode in your hands, forcing you to find another substitute.
More weapons and ammo needs more tasks to be completed. Every weapon merchandiser gives you missions (in general consisting in destroying weapons convoys) to obtain new weapon models, ammo, upgrades, and vehicles. These toys have a price, and like all the other missions, they imply the use of a more unusual trading object: diamonds. Either you complete missions, or just searching for hidden stacks of diamonds, your total amount of goods will be increased.

Welcome back, LEGION. Indeed, Joe Kucan is back, portraying the legendary self-proclaimed prophet Kane, through 20 years of Command and Conquer history: past, present and future. The 13 missions spread story explains what happened to the Brotherhood of Nod right after the Second Tiberium War, and fill the history gap left by the original Command and Conquer 3. And then of course some more, the action takes us a bit more into the future, showing just a sneak peak of the shape of things to come.

The stellar "Sins of a Solar Empire" hits our PCs with a unique interesting new combination of game genres and a few cool ideas that should draw the attention of quite a few strategy fans. The newcomer Ironclad Games managed the impossible and created a competitive title indeed. But aside from all the prays and high marks this game received overall, its approach on RTS and the mix of elements it brings, one can find some things that will bother a few players and that will eventually influence the grades of this review. Ok, let's take it from the top.
Sherlock Holmes, the worlds` greatest detective, created by Arthur Conan Doyle is about to face his biggest challenge so far: Arsene Lupin, the worlds` greatest thief, created by Maurice Leblanc. Who is going to win this battle of wits? Who is going to be victorious, and, most importantly, who would you like to see as the winner?
I thought a bit about how to start this. While saying that Silent Hunter IV is the best submarine simulator out there is true, it doesn't mean much, especially for new players. Saying it is one of the best simulator games out there is again accurate, but again, a bit of an understatement. Why? Well because... despite the high complexity and realism involved, Ubisoft Romania managed to develop a game that is appealing to the beginners as well, in a certain degree.
Lineage II had it share of success. At the time the game was released, it was one of the most beautiful MMOG on the market. To take its place as the most beautiful MMOG, the Ragnarok Online (or RO) developers from imcGames created Sword of the New World: Granado Espada.
We were able to take part in 2 battles and what we saw pleased us. The transition to the 3D helped the game and gave it a better view on the battlefield. You can move the camera and this way you get a better look at the action. The units are amazing and their animations are clean and good looking. Same goes for spells and effects: you will love what you see.
Last week I began to search some new independent games. Suddenly I stumbled upon this interesting racing game called Nitro Stunt Racing. The title sounds non-original but the content tends to be if not original, at least interesting.
In a perfect world, everything is controlled by a balance between Chaos and Order. But what happens if things start to get messy and a great evil is about to unleash an epic conflict onto the universe? This is what NCsoft decided to unveil and also explain why Aion is a MMO bound to have success.
So here I am back on the road with a BMW. This time in Race 07 demo. The only racing-simulation game that really impressed me at GC. But only with the help of the Steam client which probably will become the "god" of online distribution! Anyway a big minus for this decision of playing the game only through Steam.
