Print Slow summers are a thing of the past as Rising Star Games prepare for
the busiest month of releases in the company's short history. With a
new release almost every week in August, Rising Star Games is going
against the convention of a usually quiet summer and getting four
unique titles out before the traditional autumn frenzy.
Kicking things off will be traditional J-RPG Growlanser: Heritage of War. A PlayStation®2 exclusive, Growlanser: Heritage of War is the fifth title from the successful Growlanser series and is the first time the series has made an appearance in Europe. Featuring an enticing generation-spanning storyline, tactical gameplay and a unique skill system, it has everything a traditional RPG fan would want with the added bonus of superb anime-style cut scenes and artwork. Growlanser: Heritage of War will be available from August 15th 2008.
Keeping Growlanser company is dark dungeon-crawler Baroque. Available on the PlayStation 2 and Nintendo WiiTM, Baroque's unique story progression means that death does not necessarily mean game over, but instead reveals another part of the mystery. The dungeon also features an ever shifting environment, meaning that level layouts are always changing and never the same. The two features couple to form an intricate storyline with answers where you may not expect them. Baroque is available from August 15th 2008.
The following week sees the release of Super Swing Golf, the well-received party golf game from the makers of Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive. Challenge your friends and family through the highly competitive multiplayer modes or test your own skills against the computer in the intense solo career mode. There's something for everyone in this highly enjoyable golf game that features a multitude of unlockable secrets, including the option to play as many characters from the Tecmo universe such as Ryu Hyabusa from Ninja Gaiden or Ayane from Dead or Alive. Super Swing Golf will be teeing off on Nintendo Wii from August 22nd 2008.
Rounding August off is Bakushow, the hilarious party game designed specifically for the Nintendo DSTM. Invite up to three friends to play against as one Game Card allows up to four players to enjoy the fun through the Nintendo download play function. Think of any question you like and challenge your friends to come up with the most outrageous answer. You choose the question, the winner and the tone. The game is as funny as you make it. Bakushow will be available from August 29th 2008.
"August is going to be a big month for us here at Rising Star Games," Richard Barclay, UK and international marketing manager. "We've never released four titles in one month before and this is just a sign of how fast the company is growing. From hereon in we'll be releasing bigger and bigger titles and we're all very excited about the coming months."

| Mythos Online August 11, 2008 After the fiasco that was (or is) Hellgate London, I was not
exactly eager to try another RPG from Flagship Studios, but since I had nothing
else to do, I decided to give it a try. The closed beta status of the game
meant it wasn`t exactly easy to get an account to play, but I managed to do so,
just in time... Most games go from a closed beta status to an open beta status and
then alpha and so on, but Mythos unfortunately is an exception. Why? Read on to
find out.
