For the first time Square-Enix will develop a multiplatform single-player RPG. The game will be called The Last Remnant, and will have no connection with any of the former series such as Final Fantasy or Dragos Quest. The game will use the Unreal 3 engine and will be a turn-based RPG based on a QTE system (whatever that means!). More infos in the June issue of Game Informer.

Spider-Man: Web of Shadows
November 19, 2008
From the first attempts of creating a videogame revolving around Marvel's super hero, Spider-Man entered a downward spiral, and it seemed like it's only a matter of time before he'll hit rock bottom, so Web of Shadows presents the best chance for redemption. The latest title published by Activision is probably the best video game ever featuring Spider-Man, and while this may not represent a lot, at least we won't witness another all-time low.  [...]

Fallout 3
November 12, 2008
Even with a lot of negative reactions from the old school, hardcore Fallout fans, even with some aspects that lack the depth we were used to from the old games, and even with the dramatic change of the combat mechanics and camera system, Fallout 3 is still Bethesda's crown jewel and one of the best games this years. I advise everyone, friend or foe to give it a shot.  [...]

Quantum of Solace
November 11, 2008
Such a highly anticipated event as the upcoming release of the latest title in the James Bond saga could not go unnoticed in the gaming industry, as it offers the perfect chance of redeeming a franchise that was slowly sinking after the GoldenEye 007 success. Developed by Treyarch, Quantum of Solace the videogame, was expected to be a huge success with the public and to make some profit, benefiting from this overwhelming favorable context.  [...]

MotorStorm: Pacific Rift
October 22, 2008
MotorStorm was one of the few exclusive PS3 games, that had a really big success at the official launch of PS3 in US and Europe. Later sold also as a bonus product for the bundle PS3 packages, MotorStorm succeeded in creating a big fan-base especially after Sony introduced downloadable content in the first version of Playstation Network. MotorStorm: Pacific Rift is the sequel to this successful franchise considered by many as MotorStorm 2. Still developed by Evolution Studios and using a modified version of the first Motorstorm graphical engine, Pacific Rift is scheduled to be released on 28 October 2008 in North America, and later for the rest of the world.  [...]

Motorm4x
October 16, 2008
Developed by former guys from Illusion Softworks (known for Mafia), MOTORM4X is a mixture of 1NSANE and Screamer 4x4. Keeping in mind these were off-road racing games, MOTORM4X follows the same idea, featuring non-linear events (similar to GTA concept) and a physics engine that might excel even Baja: Edge of Control.  [...]

PT Boats: Knights of the Sea
October 3, 2008
I was among the lucky few who got the chance of playing the demo version of the highly anticipated title from Akella: "PT Boats: Knights of the Sea", and I must say this naval combat simulator has all the assets needed to become the next big thing in the genre industry. The dazzling graphics, complex yet accessible gameplay, real life inspired scenarios and the unique flavor of a maritime confrontation all in the background of the ever intriguing World War 2 concur in creating a game of huge potential.  [...]
