Print "PT Boats: Knights of the Sea" is dedicated to a small group of little
known - but perhaps some of the most daring - naval combatants of World
War II: the torpedo boat crews. Commanding small, fast and agile boats,
known as the "mosquito fleet", they proved extremely dangerous to
bigger vessels due their speed and agility - and the on-board torpedo
launchers! More than once in the history of WWII, a handful of those
little deadly boats helped decide the course of an entire battle and
executed seemingly impossible missions.
"PT Boats: Knights of
the Sea" is a full-blown naval simulation, and more: combining key
elements of a strategic, tactical and action simulator, the game allows
the player to control each crew member separately - or command whole
groups of ships in a strategic layer!
Leading small crews on tiny ships against a much stronger opponent will let you experience the intricacies of naval combat in its most immediate form. Flexible options will allow you to fully customize the game's difficulty, and you will be able to choose to focus on specific areas of your ship (such as manning a specific gun), or command the big picture.
All ships and weapons are recreated using authentic historical documents. All game objects use real-life physics, and you will be able to experience such beautiful and realistic sea and ambiance effects as never seen before in a PC game. "PT Boats" fully supports DirectX 10 and multi-core processors. System requirements and the recommended system configuration is listed below.

Sins of a Solar Empire
The stellar "Sins of a Solar Empire" hits our PCs with a unique interesting new combination of game genres and a few cool ideas that should draw the attention of quite a few strategy fans. The newcomer Ironclad Games managed the impossible and created a competitive title indeed. But aside from all the prays and high marks this game received overall, its approach on RTS and the mix of elements it brings, one can find some things that will bother a few players and that will eventually influence the grades of this review. Ok, let's take it from the top.

I thought a bit about how to start this. While saying that Silent Hunter IV is the best submarine simulator out there is true, it doesn't mean much, especially for new players. Saying it is one of the best simulator games out there is again accurate, but again, a bit of an understatement. Why? Well because... despite the high complexity and realism involved, Ubisoft Romania managed to develop a game that is appealing to the beginners as well, in a certain degree.

GC: Disciples 3: Renaissance
We were able to take part in 2 battles and what we saw pleased us. The transition to the 3D helped the game and gave it a better view on the battlefield. You can move the camera and this way you get a better look at the action. The units are amazing and their animations are clean and good looking. Same goes for spells and effects: you will love what you see.

Race 07
So here I am back on the road with a BMW. This time in Race 07 demo. The only racing-simulation game that really impressed me at GC. But only with the help of the Steam client which probably will become the "god" of online distribution! Anyway a big minus for this decision of playing the game only through Steam.

| PT Boats: Knights of the Sea August 3, 2007 PT Boats: Knights of the Sea is a naval action simulator that places gamers in charge of a mosquito fleet of the Allied Forces, Russia or Germany during the height of World War II. Take command of a boat and control each member of the crew. Shoot down aircrafts using machineguns, torpedo hostile destroyers and supply ships. Plan your attacks in tactical mode, then switch to action mode and lead your fleet to the victory. In fact, you can do whatever it takes to accomplish your mission. While advancing in rank you'll get more boats and warships under your command.
