Mythos Online
After the fiasco that was (or is) Hellgate London, I was not exactly eager to try another RPG from Flagship Studios, but since I had nothing else to do, I decided to give it a try. The closed beta status of the game meant it wasn`t exactly easy to get an account to play, but I managed to do so, just in time... Most games go from a closed beta status to an open beta status and then alpha and so on, but Mythos unfortunately is an exception. Why? Read on to find out.

Race Driver GRID
Codemasters will definitely conquer the racing genre step by step. In just a few months they took two important steps. First was the acquisition of the Racing Studio from Birmingham (actually owned by Sega), and second was the acquisition of F1 Racing Series rights to develop and publish games based on them. Grid is just an obvious release from a successful franchise that has the purpose to highlight the fact Codemasters are one of the best racing games developers.

The Bad the Ugly and the Sober
Litera and Akella bring us back, if only for a little while, to the old days when Adventures and Quest games were the king with their latest Wild Wild West game: The Bad, the Ugly and the Sober. And it's nice to be back! I remember in the old days when I used to spend hours on Lucas Arts games like Day of the Tentacle or Indiana Jones. The Bad, the Ugly and the Sober manages to recreate some of the thrill and excitement of the old school Adventures.

Inhabited Island The Earthling
Inspired by Strugatsky brothers science fiction novel "Prisoners of Power" Akella's "Inhabited island: The Earthling" is like a breath of fresh air in the adventure games industry. Its original storyline and innovative concepts brilliantly succeed in bringing to life the "Noon Universe" and will most likely raise enough interest to make it a massive success.

Shattered Horizon
November 18, 2009
While offering no tutorial whatsoever in a relatively new genre of FPS, it appears Shattered Horizon has the right stuff for many shooter fans, with a price per value being one of the most important aspects here. Star Wars The Force Unleashed: Ultimate Sith Edition

Some ports are good, some ports are bad, and some ports are never to be made. League of Legends
November 16, 2009
Every now and then somebody comes up with a brilliant idea that shakes the very foundations of the gaming industry, despite having a low budget or an undersized developing team. DotA was such a concept and the result is a game mode that rivals Warcraft 3 in terms of popularity, establishing itself as a landmark in the RTS genre. Featuring the same solid gameplay without the limitations of the Warcraft engine, League of Legends is undeniably a huge leap forward and probably another massive success.  [...]
