The ancient city of Al-Khali is a parallel universe which hides a big secret: the Firstborn. As a member of the Jericho Squad you have to enter in this Abyss and find the Firstborn. The demo takes place in the catacombs of this city where you have to fight against hellish creatures.

So here I am back on the road with a BMW. This time in Race 07 demo. The only racing-simulation game that really impressed me at GC. But only with the help of the Steam client which probably will become the "god" of online distribution! Anyway a big minus for this decision of playing the game only through Steam.

In a crowded atmosphere, at the Ubisoft exhibition center, somebody was talking loud and clearly with a sweet American accent. I had no idea who he was but he got my attention because of his determined but also mild voice. In the theatre room, for Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway presentation, I met him again. He was Colonel John Antal, US Army (Retired), now author of historical books and member of Gearbox Software. Along with the senior producer of Hell's Highway, they presented the last installment from the Brothers in Arms franchise probably available this autumn for PC, XBOX 360 and PS3.

Imagine 50 square kilometers of virtual savannah, day and night cycle, weather cycle, destructible aerials and a complex A.I.. This is Far Cry 2.

We were able to take part in 2 battles and what we saw pleased us. The transition to the 3D helped the game and gave it a better view on the battlefield. You can move the camera and this way you get a better look at the action. The units are amazing and their animations are clean and good looking. Same goes for spells and effects: you will love what you see.

At GC I had the opportunity to see a demonstration demo in which every physical and graphical aspect of the game were present. The demo was presented by Nour Polloni (producer at Eden Studios). Following the same politics valid for every big publisher at the exhibition, Atari didn’t allow us to video tape the presentation, so the whole preview is a summary of the audio recording that I made.
