Colin McRae: DiRT 2 - Game Review (XB360)

Colin McRae DiRT 2
DiRT 2, the last addition in Colin McRae off-road racing series, brings a scalable difficulty level becoming a product worth playing by most of the casual gamers. With a long but addictive singleplayer career and a whole new multiplayer mode this game can easily be considered one of the best games of this genre. But I have some mixed feelings about it.

Section 8 - Game Review (XB360)

Section 8
Section 8 is by no means a videogame pretending to revolve around a solid, cohesive storyline that will inspire players and make a long lasting impression. Instead, Timegate focused on delivering a competent shooter featuring intricate, yet alluring gameplay that should make it a fun game,- with a challenging multiplayer. The result is nothing short of spectacular and this highly anticipated title has a good chance of catching the eye of the more savvy consumers, who can appreciate a quality sci-fi FPS.

Raven Squad - Game Review (PC)

Raven Squad
If you read the fact sheet of Raven Squad it's hard not to have high expectations about Atomic Motion's release, because a game combining FPS and RTS elements is nothing short of intriguing. Unfortunately this title doesn't quite rise up to the challenge and although the result is an exciting shooter with a few tactical features, some people might feel somehow cheated.

Batman: Arkham Asylum - Game Review (XB360)

Batman Arkham Asylum
Either you are a Batman fan or not, Batman: Arkham Asylum is a "must have". Combining fast paced melee combat with stealth elements and introducing most of the classical characters from Batman's universe (either from cartoons or animated movies) this game surpasses most of the expectations and can be easily considered one of the best action games of this year.

Wolfenstein - Game Review (XB360)

Wolfenstein
Once again agent Blazkowicz saves the world from a threat of huge, paranormal proportions. He should star in Ghost Busters or something. It proves that he was the man who single-handedly turned the World War II tide in favor of the Allies and as we will probably find out in a future episode, will win the war for them. Seriously though, the new Wolfenstein that they couldn't find an appropriate name for is a pretty decent game, a nice shooter, that has many fun elements and it grows on you. Only downside is that it hasn't much to do with the ol' Wolf 3D game, so some old school gamers may end up a little disappointed.

Trials HD
Remember MINICLIP, RedLynx and their flash-game Trials? If yes, then you are one of those who spent a lot of their office time playing those killer-boredom games. Welcome to a game where all you have to do is to fight for a better high score by handling your off-road motorcycle through impossible obstacles.

Call of the Crusade is the last step before Icecrown Citadel and your epic confrontation with Arthas, the Lich King. Minor tweaks here, a new PvP battleground there, and a bosses only PvE instance, Patch 3.2.0 manages to keep the WoW spirit alive and well, and to rekindle that heroic dungeon interest. Okay, now back to ToC for more free epicsss!

Death to Spies: Moment of Truth - Game Review (PC)

Death to Spies Moment of Truth
Death to Spies: Moment of Truth, the second installment in Death to Spies series, is a game that doesn't want to change the stealth genre but to continue the series' simulation aspect and to push further the player's patience to the limit. It's not a game for the faint-of-heart.

ArmA 2 - Game Review (PC)

ArmA 2
Bohemia Interactive did a great job in keeping the high standards they've got us used with and resisted the temptation of cutting down key features for the sake of popularity. ArmA 2 is not a game for the broad public but for those savvy consumers who are capable of enjoying a high quality military tactical shooter, without complaining about its intricacy.

East India Company - Game Review (PC)

East India Company
East India Company is a rare breed amongst the games released these days and it's definitely not something one would catalog as a casual summer game. Paradox succeeds once more in coming up with a title that combines intricate trading activities with real time naval combat, all wrapped up in an addictive and challenging gameplay.

World of Warcraft: Cataclysm
September 8, 2009
World of Warcraft: Cataclysm promises to be one of the turning points for the Warcraft universe, not only advancing the story and lore, but also offering a new and more beginner friendly experience to new players who are just starting up on the game. That said, it is obvious veteran players haven't been forgotten, and as I've seen from this year's Blizzcon, everyone will be happy to know development work looks quite advanced, and we can probably expect this pack to arrive probably sooner than later.  [...]

August 27, 2009
Champions Online is not the only MMO to be released this year, but it is definitely one of the most anticipated ones, following the considerable success of its predecessor: City of Heroes.
