ArmA 2 - Game Review (PC)

ArmA 2
Bohemia Interactive did a great job in keeping the high standards they've got us used with and resisted the temptation of cutting down key features for the sake of popularity. ArmA 2 is not a game for the broad public but for those savvy consumers who are capable of enjoying a high quality military tactical shooter, without complaining about its intricacy.

East India Company - Game Review (PC)

East India Company
East India Company is a rare breed amongst the games released these days and it's definitely not something one would catalog as a casual summer game. Paradox succeeds once more in coming up with a title that combines intricate trading activities with real time naval combat, all wrapped up in an addictive and challenging gameplay.

Wallace and Gromit Episode 4 The Bogey Man
Last episode of Wallace and Gromit Grand Adventures has been released with a little delay and it was somehow overshadowed by the official release of Tales of Monkey Island's first episode. In any case, with The Bogey Man, Telltale wants to end the first season of Wallace and Gromit's adventures in the best possible way by delivering more challenging puzzles and the funniest story in the series.

Even if this isn't a fancy looking game, you'll find yourself addicted to it in no time. Summer Athletics 2009 - Game Review (PC)

Summer Athletics 2009
It's only natural for developers and publishers to try maximizing their earnings with each videogame released, but sometimes the profit hunting is so obvious that makes you wonder how far can it go. Summer Athletics 2008 had to compete with Beijing 2008 for the best game depicting the Olympics and it seems that without any real competition in 2009, the latest addition adds very little extra value.

Virtua Tennis 2009 - Game Review (PC)

Virtua Tennis 2009
Virtua Tennis 2009 is just a refresh of its two year older brother, Virtua Tennis 3. It doesn't bring any surprising new additions, and graphics, sounds and music are outdated. However, just as VT 3, 2009 still has that excellent gameplay element that will keep you playing it for hours and hours, and that great multiplayer experience enhanced now by some online modes.

Anno 1404 - Game Review (PC)

By Paguba Florin

Anno 1404
Anno 1404 has got both the looks and the stirring gameplay to grow into a hit and set a new milestone in the franchise developed by Ubisoft. Unfortunately the lack of an appropriate tutorial combined with the sheer complexity of the game mechanics, can have a deterring effect on the newcomers. The bottom line is that, Anno 1404 is not a game for the masses but it has enough depth to make it an extraordinary experience for anyone willing to try it and discover its hidden quality.

Call of Juarez Bound in Blood
Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood's surprising summer release isn't just a show off for the newly completed Chorme Engine 4 from Techland. It's a complete, pleasant game, with a rich story line, great physics and graphics, sounds, voice and music. A western of cinematic proportions with in an open world, complete with multiplayer, released on all the major platforms at once. I can hardly wait for the next Techland title now.

Trine - Game Review (PC)

Trine
Trine is a graphical beauty, an action/platform game packed with environmental puzzles and a classic 2D view. It's that kind of game that can be recommended to anyone, as its gameplay doesn't involve special abilities in order to be enjoyed by a wider variety of players. It's the perfect choice to spend your time in front of your computer in a boring weekend.

Overlord 2 - Game Review (PC)

Overlord 2
Overlord II is a perfect example of a "if it ain't broken, why fix it" scenario. It kept the same concepts as the original, it has a nice gameplay, cute and improved graphics, a longer, deeper story that nevertheless keeps its charm and dark humor we were so proud of in the first Overlord, and all the other essential ingredients to make it a good game.

World of Warcraft: Cataclysm
September 8, 2009
World of Warcraft: Cataclysm promises to be one of the turning points for the Warcraft universe, not only advancing the story and lore, but also offering a new and more beginner friendly experience to new players who are just starting up on the game. That said, it is obvious veteran players haven't been forgotten, and as I've seen from this year's Blizzcon, everyone will be happy to know development work looks quite advanced, and we can probably expect this pack to arrive probably sooner than later.  [...]

August 27, 2009
Champions Online is not the only MMO to be released this year, but it is definitely one of the most anticipated ones, following the considerable success of its predecessor: City of Heroes.
