Resident Evil 5 - Game Review (XB360)

Resident Evil 5
No compromises were made creating Resident Evil 5. It reminds me of old console games, in their golden age. There is no easy mode, there are situations where you just die, instantly. Still, there is an artistic edge to everything in it, the story, graphics, sounds, music, everything, and most of all, a feeling of accomplishment for achieving even a minor goal that many of today's games lack. This one is a game to play.

Halo Wars - Game Review (XB360)

Halo Wars
Halo Wars is a fast paced, dynamic RTS, exactly the kind you'd expect for consoles. It's a nice way to go for Ensemble Studios, and will probably be able to grab some of those badass Halo players and bring them to the light side - a world of RTS; along with some of those old school strategists, that will probably appreciate a good glass of wine and a few hours of Halo Wars in the evening.

Fable 2 - Game Review (XB360)

Fable 2
One of the few singleplayer RPGs worth playing these days along with Fallout 3 and Witcher maybe. But what's interesting is that Fable 2 doesn't stop here, and it offers a complete multiplayer experience as well. Player's character evolves and shapes up as he wants it to be, there are plenty of quests and open sandbox world to explore, and the decision of what to do next is yours. Oh, and let's not forget the dog.

Shellshock 2: Blood Trails - Game Review (XB360)

Shellshock 2 Blood Trails
Shellshock 2: Blood Trails remains true to its name and wastes no chance of shocking the player, including some gruesome visuals depicting infected soldiers, over the top violent confrontations that lead to extremely bloody scenes and coarse language. Perhaps a more subtle approach could have better deliver the feeling of terror and unfortunately Shellshock 2 fails as a FPS as well, crippled by weak AI and unresponsive controls.

Rise of the Argonauts
Rise of the Argonauts is probably the most under-rated game of the year, and it`s a real shame to not give it a try. Get ready to lead Jason and his Argonauts in search of The Golden Fleece, or die trying!

Left 4 Dead
Leave it to Valve to make one of the most entertaining multiplayer experiences of the year, by using our all time favorite undead creatures, zombies! Onlookers will tend to believe the game is nothing more than a zombie kill fest, with no real purpose or logic, but just like my colleagues, they are dead wrong.

I was really hoping Mirror's Edge will become one of my all time favorite games, especially after playing the demo. However, all good things must come to an end, and so seems to be the case with my hopes and dreams regarding Mirror's Edge as well...

Halo Wars
February 20, 2009
Halo Wars is a prequel and takes place in 2531, 20 years before the first game in the shooter trilogy. The human UNSC forces fight the Covenant once again, and you play the role of a commander instructing your forces what to build and who to attack. The game, while cool and based on the innovative Halo universe, takes a lot of elements from other successful RTS games and simplifies the gameplay and interface quite a bit to make it a suitable experience for the Xbox 360.  [...]

Resident Evil 5
February 2, 2009
Two levels of demo on Xbox 360 aren't usually sufficient to help one express an exhaustive opinion about a highly anticipated title such as Resident Evil 5, but in this case it's just enough to convince the gamer that another gem is about to be uncovered. This latest addition to the acclaimed franchise stays true to the survival-horror genre, retaining that sinister atmosphere from the previous titles and while further increasing it, by carrying the creepiness into broad daylight.  [...]
