Pathologic - Game Review (PC)

Pathologic
Pathology means specifically the study and diagnosis of the structural and functional changes in cells, tissues and organs that underlie disease. And believe me, this game spreads disease upon the gamer. The only condition is to understand the story which creates the game.

Need for Speed: Carbon - Game Review (PC)

Need for Speed Carbon
Three years of total domination. This is what EA Games achieved with Need for Speed Underground series. Although the last two games didn't had the Underground name anymore, they are still clones of the same concept. Taking in consideration the fact that the FIFA series still exists and comes out with a new episode every year, I thing that NFS will become a new contender for the longevity price.

Blazing Angels: Squadrons of WWII - Game Review (PC)

Blazing Angels Squadrons of WWII
In 1992 Ubisoft launched its first developing studio outside France, in Romania. Their first international success was Silent Hunter III in 2005, a submarine combat-simulation based on historical battles. Following their innovative style in 2006 they released Blazing Angels: Squadron of WWII. The game is a flight-combat game based again on historical events. The game was first released as a XBOX and XBOX 360 version, then as a PC version. Later on, the game received a PS3 version with some new content and supporting up to 16 players online. The Wii version of the game was announced last year, but seems for the moment that the project was canceled. Still, there was no official statement regarding this cancellation neither from Ubisoft or Nintendo, so we might actually get also a Wii version.

Agatha Christie: Murder on the Orient Express - Game Review (PC)

Agatha Christie Murder on the Orient Express
Murder on the Orient Express is considered by many, Agatha Christie's famous novel. The main character is again detective Hercule Poirot (present in many Agatha Christie's novels) who has to solve a murder in the Calais Coach. The book impressed the critics by its surprising ending. Twelve passangers in the train were thought to be accomplices to the same murder, but because of special reasons (read the book), no one was incriminated. Instead Poirot gave a different version of the story to the police and all twelve persons were allowed to walk free. Being a very known mystery novel, the transition to an adventure game was just a matter of time. AWE Games who also developed And Then There Were None, the first game inspired from Agatha Christie's novels, decided to continue creating games based on her novels.

Neverwinter Nights 2
"If it ain't broke, don't fix it" was the formula used by Obsidian to create this game. Until now BioWare was the developer of the Neverwinter series. Obsidian was however chosen to develop the sequel. Feargus Urquhart, the one and only who realized some of the masterpieces of the RPG genre (Baldur's Gate and Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance series and the development of the Icewind Dale and Planescape: Torment franchises) while being President of Black Isle Studios collaborated on this project too.

Wii Sports - Game Review (WII)

Wii Sports
It has been a while since a game who accompanied a new hardware launch produced such positive reactions , especially considering the fact that Wii Sports is distributed for free in U.S. and Europe (only if you buy a Nintendo Wii console), in comparison with Japan ,where the game has to be bought separately due to marketing issues that shouldn't affect you, unless you're a Japanese folk.

Anno 1701
In 2000, Sunflowers released the first episode from the Anno series. Named Anno 1602 or 1602 A.D., it was one of the best city builder simulation games. You were one of the explorers determined to uncover as many secrets and to settle many islands. On your journey you will encounter different natives which can help you on your quests or not. Games like The Settlers, Caesar III, and SimCity, 1602 A.D. combine god-game and real-time-strategy elements to create an interesting blend of real-time and city-building gameplay.

World of Warcraft: Cataclysm
September 8, 2009
World of Warcraft: Cataclysm promises to be one of the turning points for the Warcraft universe, not only advancing the story and lore, but also offering a new and more beginner friendly experience to new players who are just starting up on the game. That said, it is obvious veteran players haven't been forgotten, and as I've seen from this year's Blizzcon, everyone will be happy to know development work looks quite advanced, and we can probably expect this pack to arrive probably sooner than later.  [...]

August 27, 2009
Champions Online is not the only MMO to be released this year, but it is definitely one of the most anticipated ones, following the considerable success of its predecessor: City of Heroes.
