Damnation - Game Review (PC)

Damnation
Great expectations are frequently bound to fail miserably and this latest release from Codemasters is perhaps the best example of how an overhyped title can turn into a huge disappointment. Instead of coming up with a shooter that revolutionizes the genre with amazing "vertical" gameplay, developers from Blue Omega created a pathetic title that looks and feels like a low-budget Gears of War rip-off.

The Sims 3 - Game Review (PC)

The Sims 3
There are a plenty of changes all around, and plenty of things that haven't changed. I tried to mention only a few that seemed more important, or that I especially noticed. No matter how you see it, Sims is a successful game and has a certain attractiveness in its gameplay - you being God and all, making decisions for your own creations. The fact nothing much has changed in this direction doesn't make the game bad over night, and with the thousands of expansions packs to come you can be sure this will top the charts once more, like its predecessor.

Terminator Salvation the Videogame - Game Review (XB360)

Terminator Salvation the Videogame
A rather short, sometimes buggy and repetitive gameplay, but with the occasional high action moment and a nice, more interactive experience for Terminator fans, Terminator Salvation the Videogame is just ok. Probably the best part is that it came out on the same date as the movie, but just look at what sacrifices the developers had to make to get this done...

Bionic Commando - Game Review (XB360)

Bionic Commando
Fans from allover the world rejoiced when Capcom announced that they are preparing to release Bionic Commando, the much awaited remake of the NES classic. Trying to capture the very fragrance that made the original title so popular, the Xbox version starring Nathan 'Red' Spencer fails short in presenting a worthy sequel, due to a shallow narration, repetitive gameplay and unresponsive controls.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine The Game - Game Review (PC)

X Men Origins Wolverine The Game
While X-Men Origins: Wolverine isn't a perfect game, Raven Software did a mighty fine job with the franchise. It is certainly the best game wearing the X-Men name a fan could buy, and if you haven't seen the movie yet, it makes you want to buy it. An enjoyable and decently long experience that doesn't disappoint one bit.

Battlestations Pacific - Game Review (PC)

Battlestations Pacific
Battlestations Pacific is an avatar of an era when naval combat was all about heavily armored vessels going head to head, trying to outmaneuver and eventually sink the opponent. Eidos's latest release presents us with a rare opportunity of witnessing the intensity and ruthlessness of warfare, in some of the deadliest theatres of conflict in modern history. The result is an intricate PC game that brilliantly succeeds in combining strategy and action elements, that even those "lucky few" who were aboard those ships that fought for supremacy in the Pacific ocean might enjoy.

Zeno Clash - Game Review (PC)

Zeno Clash
I have no words to express my astonishment regarding ACE Team's first and latest creation Zeno Clash, a game that has attracted my interest from the first official screenshot.  It's definitely not a mainstream game, nor the usual blockbuster, but more of a fantasy in itself. A fantasy fulfilled by three brothers and their indie company from Santiago, Chile.

World of Warcraft: Cataclysm
September 8, 2009
World of Warcraft: Cataclysm promises to be one of the turning points for the Warcraft universe, not only advancing the story and lore, but also offering a new and more beginner friendly experience to new players who are just starting up on the game. That said, it is obvious veteran players haven't been forgotten, and as I've seen from this year's Blizzcon, everyone will be happy to know development work looks quite advanced, and we can probably expect this pack to arrive probably sooner than later.  [...]

August 27, 2009
Champions Online is not the only MMO to be released this year, but it is definitely one of the most anticipated ones, following the considerable success of its predecessor: City of Heroes. This latest release from Cryptic Studios will face a fierce competition, but those who are willing to trade a fantasy universe with a more gritty one, without forsaking a quality MMO may find a great alternative in it.  [...]
