Shattered Horizon - Game Review (PC)

By Emanuel Avram

Shattered Horizon
While offering no tutorial whatsoever in a relatively new genre of FPS, it appears Shattered Horizon has the right stuff for many shooter fans, with a price per value being one of the most important aspects here. Mind though you will need to see for yourself if this game is for you or if you dislike the 3D environment free movement.

Star Wars The Force Unleashed: Ultimate Sith Edition - Game Review (PC)

Star Wars The Force Unleashed Ultimate Sith Edition
Some ports are good, some ports are bad, and some ports are never to be made. I decide to include the PC edition of 'The Force Unleashed' in the latest category simply because it inherits all the bad aspects of the platform edition of the game and it also brings new bugs and other technical problems which are hard to be ignored, even by the most casual gamer.

League of Legends - Game Review (PC)

League of Legends
Every now and then somebody comes up with a brilliant idea that shakes the very foundations of the gaming industry, despite having a low budget or an undersized developing team. DotA was such a concept and the result is a game mode that rivals Warcraft 3 in terms of popularity, establishing itself as a landmark in the RTS genre. Featuring the same solid gameplay without the limitations of the Warcraft engine, League of Legends is undeniably a huge leap forward and probably another massive success.

Borderlands - Game Review (PC)

By Emanuel Avram

Borderlands
Borderlands is a pleasant surprise from Gearbox, and a game you will want to play no matter if you enjoy first person shooters or action roleplay games. It is time to get past the cartoonish Cell-Shaded graphics "complex", and realize the game has highly detailed graphics and decent animations. Its biggest flaw could be the repetitive desert environments, but maybe future expansion packs or downloadable content will vary things a bit more.

Torchlight - Game Review (PC)

Torchlight
Torchlight is a very accurate copy of Diablo and the novelty brought by Runic is not going to deceive many RPG fans, about this title's background. Nonetheless it is an amazing product, which brilliantly succeeds in capturing the very fragrance that made this genre so popular and it's probably the best choice you've got these days.

Machinarium - Game Review (PC)

Machinarium
Through streams of repetitive and boring products stretched all over the year, if you search enough, you will find small 'artifacts' which can be used to define the video games as a form of modern art. There are few titles to fulfill all the conditions to enter in this category, but Machinarium is one of them.

Tropico 3 - Game Review (PC)

Tropico 3
There is more than meets the eye about being a dictator in a Caribbean republic, and those willing to experiment this flamboyant universe delivered by Kalypso are in for a big surprise. Tropico 3 is much more than a casual city simulator, adding an exciting political layer on an otherwise excellent strategy game.

Aion - Game Review (PC)

By Emanuel Avram

Aion
NCsoft attempts to combine the more dynamic and action driven Western market MMORPG elements with the more artistic, visually appealing and progression oriented Oriental elements in Aion: The Tower of Eternity. Early numbers tell us many people all over the world enjoy this highly polished MMO, but there are some that find it unappealing just because some of those elements were used. And unfortunately, I find myself amongst them.

Dreamkiller - Game Review (PC)

By Paguba Florin

Dreamkiller
Dreamkiller is a fine example how a brilliant idea can be utterly shattered, and an otherwise intriguing concept is lost, amidst trivial monster shooting. Instead of capitalizing on the appealing idea, Aspyr delivers a mediocre FPS, with clumsy gameplay and a shallow story that sinks into near irrelevance.

Operation Flashpoint 2: Dragon Rising - Game Review (PC)

By Paguba Florin

Operation Flashpoint 2 Dragon Rising
With Bohemia Interactive departing and taking on an ambition project, very similar to Operation Flashpoint, Codemasters rose to the challenge by delivering a competent installment to this praised franchise. The result is a title that captures the very fragrance that made the original game so popular and a bit more accessible to the general public, without cutting down on the key features that defines it.

World of Warcraft: Cataclysm
September 8, 2009
World of Warcraft: Cataclysm promises to be one of the turning points for the Warcraft universe, not only advancing the story and lore, but also offering a new and more beginner friendly experience to new players who are just starting up on the game. That said, it is obvious veteran players haven't been forgotten, and as I've seen from this year's Blizzcon, everyone will be happy to know development work looks quite advanced, and we can probably expect this pack to arrive probably sooner than later.  [...]
