Treasure Planet is an entertaining exploration adventure/space flying game where you play as Jim Hawkins, in his search for the ultimate treasure belonging to Captain Flint, treasure called “the loot of a thousand worlds”. The search begins when Jim finds a sphere that triggered, reveals the map of the Lost World.

    In his quest, Jim must traverse the galaxy passing trough: Montressor, The Spaceport, Crescentia, The Legacy Spaceship and finally Treasure Planet. Each of this areas are divided into about 4 levels, resulting into 20 challenging missions. Along the way you will meet characters present in the movie, like Dr. Doopler, Captain Amelia, B.E.N. the robot and John Silver who will accompany you along the way. The most important is your little buddy, Morph. Morph is a shape-shifting-jelly-protoplasmic little alien that takes the shape of different objects like Helping Hand, Cyborg Arms or a powerful Hammer that deals great damage to enemies and objects alike.

    Along the levels, few enemies are spread. This parts could have been improved, at some point it's dull to see same robots or aliens in every map. The fighting system is composed by a punch, a foot kick or the Hammer, Morph shapeshifts into. Usually 2 hits are enough to take out any opponent.

    Beginning with the first level, you must collect 100 Drubloons (same as gold coins) and Green Energies. This two objectives will appear in almost every level and searching every corner, looking everywhere and smashing all the barrels is a must if you want to get these kind of missions done. Also dying will happen' a lot but the game saves your partial progression. The good thing is that all the Drubloons you accumulated will be remembered after death, while the bad part is that if you die you must collect all the Green Energies all over again.

    Every task you complete will open a beacon that will help you proceed to further levels. Treasure Planet is similar to Ratchet & Clank in this way, meaning that you don't need to complete every single task to advance in the game, though sometimes this is the only way.

    Some levels requires Jim to ride a solar surf board. In this levels you will have challenges like making tricks in order to score points, pass through fire rings or just grind the rails in the manner of Tony Hawk Pro Skater.

    The sounds are great, the voice acting is done by Frazier’s David Hyde Pierce, Martin Short , Emma Thompson and others. Graphics quality is pretty well considering this is a Disney's title. Like the movie, the game is a kids oriented game. Treasure Planet is filled with scenes from the movie, scenes that brings a nice touch to the game.

    I'm sure you all been wondering what's with the camera. Well, I wish I knew. The camera angle is so bad implemented that it gets you killed so many times (usually falling in the space) that  you may feel like trowing the gamepad off the walls (just kidding - don't try this at home!).

    Treasure Planet is a jump, kick, run, collect, arcade game that brings the essence of the movie into a fun gameplay. I'm sure that not only the junior audience will play this game but it would be challenging for the more experienced players as well.

Although Treasure Planet gives a fun gaming experience for players at all ages, the game loses from the gameplay with the help of a bad implemented camera view.

The animations are generally well done, nice previews from the Treasure Planet movie. Also, Morph animations and the shapeshifting ability are looking very good.

Nice  background music, the voice acting is also good, though some sounds tend to be repetitive.
