April 4, 2007 - Mahna Mahna (do dooo do dodo)

Funny thing about secrets... For everyone who has a secret, there is always someone who wants to know what that secret is; how sometimes secrets make people feel like they don't belong... and sometimes, secrets make you feel like you do belong - with the one you share that secret or who's secret you are sharing; how the smallest and simplest of lives, me - and maybe some of you - have something to hide...

I told you I've been watching too much Roswell. Then there's always the moral aspect of it you know, when you like to tell because it's right, but you can't because it wouldn't be moral, and would break your integrity.  And I've been writing this paragraph only 20 times now so that it could make some sense...

The point is we all have our little (or big) secrets and we manage to do decisions every day that involve "solving" the situation one way or the other. So where does moral fiber and not lying count? Think again, how many times you do lie... a day. Have you try to count?

Before you yell at me about WoW and say "whoa?!" and "wtf??" I'm going to assure you that you lie and have little secrets that you protect even in this virtual (yet taken so serious by some) world.

Why do you think arguments appear in guilds, in raids, in parties...? Why don't you just tell him/her  "you suck!"; "you do not know how to tank!"; "you can't dps! heal!". Because he's your friend? Because you want to be his friend? You like his guild maybe? You just got bored by saying the same thing over and over again? See, you're thinking a million things and you just end up saying "let's give it one more try, I think we almost got it..."

It's sad when you have to lie so much sometime. Yesterday we had to kick a warrior from our guild. You might know what's about: 14-15 years, want to be fury, doesn't even own a shield, etc. And the final straw was when we found out he borrowed money from some other guildie, when he already had enough.

Everyone's entitled to a break, even our beloved guild master Warlock Serafina, who was playing on his mage all week. Hey I can't blame him, mages are the best... right? Many people got frustrated however, just wanting to do raids, but none actually taking the initiative. Nothing happened so a lot of us went to level up alts in the meantime.

I do love my little (now level 27) Draenei Priest. Holy all the way. Draenei are the best holy priests period. Fear ward, AoE inervate, shadow resistance and chanse to hit with spells. And of course I picked Jewelcrafting as a profession. Five more friends joined me with little alts and we started with Deadmines, and did most low level instances (yes, including Gnomergan - dUde... I know). As a sidenote, Gnome is still an evil evil place.

I really wanted to go do some quests with my mage, so I could get some more money to get my epic flying mount, but I get bored fast. Maybe if I could get a friend to quest together. But who? Most did these quests already...

Guild started a 5vs5 arena team. You notice how players think they are the best at arenas even if they haven't played one yet? It will get better, but it takes a lot of time and practice... and I'm afraid the team won't last that long...

We did good in 2vs2 however. Still very frustrating because I could do more with a PvP spec, but I really don't have the money to spec just for 15 matches a week... and then go back to the spec I like. Hmmm maybe I'll do myself a present for Easter and buy me some gold... hahaha - happy Easter everyone btw.

Crysis Warhead
October 2, 2008
Like in Star Trek, Crytek decided they should have an all race, gender and color policy when choosing their main hero, but without having anything against that I have to congratulate them for the choice in this second game. They've managed through storytelling, smart dialogs and more action-oriented gameplay to create a strong character with James Bond-ish features. He's cool, doesn't lose his calm, has a witty remark for everything and knows how to blow things up. Maybe he even drinks martinis, we're not sure yet.  [...]

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky
October 2, 2008
Your life as a stalker is back on the road with S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky which offers plenty of new adventures to complete in the Zone area of Chernobyl. Most of you who have played the original title S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl, were anxious to play the prequel, as I was. The question is: Is it worth playing and does it fulfill our expectations? While for the first title GSC Game World needed almost seven years of developing process, Clear Sky is the result of a year and a half of working based on X-ray engine. Probably it was not enough.  [...]

Star Wars - The Force Unleashed
October 2, 2008
Not many titles had the force to gather so many fans for movies and games of the series alike. I only played Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith on Playstation 2 and that was like 3 years ago. A month ago when the demo of The Force Unleashed was released, I couldn't wait for the retail version to get in stores. Now it's here and I must say I'm really impressed with what Lucas Arts came up.  [...]
