I know I know, I've been busy a lot lately, especially with Games 32 starting up and all that preparation and all. I will make some time to catch up with all my readers (yes, both ), but not today. Call me lazy, call me anything you want, but it still won't be today. Instead, I will post here some discussions from the US forums, that I find both amusing and interesting. I selected the answers I like btw... I won't comment more on them, so I will let you judge the quality of the posts and posters...

“My Guild Wants Me To Break Up With My GF

Ok so I play World of Warcraft and I'm in one of the top guilds on my
server. I'm the bank character for my guild so I hold all of the
guilds supplies which is thousands upon thousands of gold and highly
rare materials. So my GF who has never played WoW goes on my name to
check it out and accidentally deletes all of the items in my mail
which was every single guild item because I recently had mailed them
to my other character which my GF was on. So I'm just in shock and
awe. I start screaming at her so she is like "I know how much this
game means to you and I am very very sorry." She ends up going home.

My guild schedules a meeting about what happened over Ventrilo for
tonight which I just got done with. They start yelling at me and
telling me how irresponsible it was of me to not be watching my
account especially when I hold all of the guilds items. So after 30
minutes of discussing this and them talking about how my GF is
incredibly dumb and how shes a stupid *!@*@ I'm in tears listening to
them dish it out on me, but I understand where they are coming from, I
mean it's thousands upon thousands of gold and materials.

So the last 30 minutes they talked about how I need to break up with
my GF for what she has done. They were telling me how someone needs to
be punished for this and it is either me getting kicked out of the
guild or me dumping my GF of almost two years. They said this can't
happen again, and that it is too much of a distraction to have her
around for me. I just logged off of Ventrilo now and must give the
guild leader either a letter of resignation or a letter saying I have
broke up with my GF by 10:00 EST tommorow (technically it's tonight
because it is 1:48 AM here). Now you are all probably like "Just tell
them you broke up with her but really don't". The problem is there is
someone who goes to school with me in my guild and he will know
whether or not I am still going out with her and he will tell the
guild I am still going out with her if I lie.

So my question is simple, break up with my GF and stay in the guild,
or stay with my GF and get kicked out of the guild. I love my GF very
much and she is one of the best looking girls in school and we have
been going out for almost two years. But I put a lot of time in this
guild and it took me a lot of work and an incredible ammount of luck
to get into it. I won't get this guild opportunity ever again. So what
should I do?"

Girlfriends are easier to replace than a competent guild.

having something in real life get in the way of things more important…
world of warcraft. Tell her you love her, hit her in the brown, then
dump her.

Step 1: Tell guild you dump her.
Step 2: sex up girlfriend.
Step 3: rob/incapacitate guildy you know IRL
Step 4: steal all guild items and sell them.
Step 5: Transfer
Step 6: Sex up girlfriend.

1. Have a GM restore the items.
2. /gquit
3. Find new guild/server
4. Keep gold+GF
5. ???
6. Profit.

Man, he's in school. This relationship is probably going to last
all of another two months anyway. Unless the sex is phenomenal, which
I doubt, he should just dump her. Not all relationships are from “When

It may be fake.
...but then situations like this have happened to people I actually know.
Regardless of whether this particular situation is fake or not, there
are definitely others who need to understand that WoW isn't worth it.
