Anyone considering purchasing Tabula Rasa, the latest MMO offering from Richard (Lord British) Garriott, would be best advised to wait for at least 3, if not 6 months, before this game is truly out of beta.

They are rushing this dog's breakfast out the door with limited content, bugged missions, a skill tree so barren as to be non-existant, a crafting system that is totally broken and worthless, and game mechanics so laughably out-dated as to prove the claim of 'innovation' a lie. Their idea of end-game content is for people to re-roll new characters and start over again, almost all of the best suggestions that have come from the beta community are either NFS (Not For Ship), or, which is most likely, NFW (No F****** Way)

It is not worth the $45 they want for the box, and certainly not worth a $15/month subscription fee

It's just another korean grinder with a bigger-than-life name attached to it, destined to become a free-to-play game within the first 6 months, that is if it doesn't pull an Auto Assault and die stillborn.

And what is even more ttroubling is that they are actively removing the people complianing the loudest about the shallow, unfinished nature of the game from the beta boards, it seems they are mroe than happy to keep the slavishly devoted fanbois and other trolls, but cannot take some real criticism of the product, and are certainly ignoring all input fro mthe beta community as to how to fix the game and make it actually worth paying the money for.

In short, the gaming public are being asked to financially support a broken, unfinished, shoddy beta product and are expected to wait several months until the glaring deficiencies are addressed within the game (which is not overly likely).

save your money and wait for Conan or Warhammer

Hey voyd,

Well from what I have seen in beta, sure there is till a long way to go. But you have to bare in mind that they are possibly testing only certain aspects in the beta version, and the game doesn't represent the final quality. I can only pray for that, at least, because if not a really good game and some bright ideas would go to waste. I don't know, I still want to give it a shot at start. Especially because I pre-ordered it  Tongue

...we'll see, and we'll have a review to tell you how things goes, right? So you don't have much to worry  Wink

Truth be told, I'm sick of all these elves, dwarfs and fantasy universe all around. I want sci-fi damn it!!@@@111one
