Muzzled, the third episode in Wallace and Gromit's Grand Adventures rolls over pretty fast in the most cartoonish style, delivering a fast paced story in which smart dialogs and key-featured cut-scenes will make you want more than 4 hours of gameplay. I personally got used to these two British characters, and I've become quite attached to them. They are not as funny as Sam and Max duo, although both series were created by the same company, but are more authentic in terms of personality. And this fact has been established in this latest episode, in which the voice acting and the British humor vocabulary with its subtle jokes have contributed in creating the best episode yet.

Following this recipe, started in the second episode (The Last Resort), conversations between characters are extremely important to follow. Most of the time present in the cut-scenes (which this time can be skipped if wanted), these dialogs will offer important clues on how to solve different puzzles, so any skipped dialog is actually a missed clue. Of course activating the 'Hints System' will make your gameplay much easier, every NPC giving additional clues for any new puzzle.

Every character from the first two episodes will also be present  in this latest installment along with a newcomer: Mr. Monty Muzzle. As the local dog shelter has just been destroyed and most of the dogs kept there are roaming the town creating chaos in everybody's garden, Mr. Muzzle makes an alluring proposal. He will organize a fundraiser in the form of a weekend faire to rebuild the local dog shelter. At least this is what the citizens had to know.  Gromit is the only one that noticed the evil plan of this bastard character and begins to unfold the secrets behind Mr. Muzzle.

If you played the other two episodes you are already used to Wallace and Gromit's house and yard, to West Wallaby Street and the town's market. But the third one comes with a new location: the Faire Grounds. The Faire Grounds is actually an amusement park where you will solve a lot of puzzles and clear some weird situations between some citizens. It's all there, from the Wallace's InfiniFlavour Ice Truck to the amusement ride in which Major Crum has the best time of his life.

Conclusion

Wallace and Gromit's Episode 3: Muzzled paves the new direction taken by Wallace and Gromit series from the second episode, giving much more attention to the character's dialogs and bringing up many more puzzles to be solved in a classical Lucas Arts manner. With a new playable zone (the Fair Grounds), seems that the contraptions are much more used as amusement gadgets, some of them having also an important role in solving important puzzles. In the end there is one question left: Who will win an XO match: the chicken or the dog?
