Gavin Raeburn Colin McRae: DiRT 2's executive producer, officially announced the game to be completed somewhere next year. The game still uses the McRae name after several debates between McRae family and Codemasters. While the first DiRT covered most of the off-road discipline, the second game will focus more on events covering the extremes of off-road motorsport such as X-Games, Dakar Rally and Race of Champions. In this way the game will feature also a full multiplayer mode with online racing in all race types, plus a progressive reward system and community features. More details will be revealed soon.
