Two news today from World of Warcraft: the release of patch 2.1.1, a minor patch that fixes a few bugs and quests, and the introduction of the official Item Database in the World of Warcraft Armory page.
The Armory's Item Database is a searchable database of the items of World of Warcraft. Item Database is able to draw information from the actual game servers and is integrated with the Armory's character profiles.
Here are the features Armory's Item Database:
- New Search Categories: You can now search items, dungeons, bosses, and factions in the Armory.
- Find an Upgrade: An interesting feature you get when clocking an item. A sorted list of recommended upgrades is shown on any item on any character profile, so you know what can you do to upgrade your gear next.
- "Desired by" filters: Refine your search to find commonly sought-after items for every class and take into account character specializations when appropriate.
- Pin-a-character: Any character profile can be "pinned" to your Armory window, allowing you to display the matching item tooltip from that profile when viewing items.
The Item Database and Armory is still in beta.
